Following their 6-2 win over Cray Valley (PM) on Sunday, Herne Bay FC Women have been drawn at home in the third and final qualifying round tie where they will take on L&SERWFL Premier Division Sutton United at the MBS Stadium on Sunday 23rd October 2022.
If Bay can get over this final hurdle, against a side one division above them, it will herald their third appearance in the Competition Proper in seven years.
Although the two sides have met in pre season fixtures, they have only met once in competitive action and this was during the round robin series during the Covid period. United won 2-1 that day at the historic Gander Green Lane ground. Harriett Chapman was Bay's scorer in that game.
The Third Round Qualifying is the stage at which the National League Division One teams enter the competition but Bay have avoided being paired with one of them.
