Earlier this week we were informed that our previous manager, Mark Harvey, was standing down, and we would like to thank Mark for his commitment to Herne Bay FC when managing the team from Under 13s to Under 16s.

The search began for a new manager to take the Under 18s into the Kent Youth Premier League for 22/23 and we are now in a position to announce that Danny Lawrence will be rejoining Herne Bay FC in that role.

Being a Herne Bay legend, DL will need no introduction to the Herne Bay fans having made 250 appearances for the 1st team. His last appearance was at the start of this season and since then he has played at Tunbridge Wells and Canterbury City where he was also impressive whilst joint-manager.

His first task is to hold some trials for players wishing to play in the Kent Youth Premier League on our new FIFA Quality Pro 3G pitch which is being installed in the close season.
Speaking to Danny this morning, he said he was “absolutely buzzing for the new season to start”, so please keep on watching our media channels, for the trial dates as they will be announced very soon.
